Water Damage in Bakersfield, CA

Water loss in town.

This was a job in town. SERVPRO® received a call for water damage. The cause of loss was the Pipe in the attic (over the laundry ceiling). This was considered a Category: 1 Class: 4

The homeowner mentioned that the loss happened around 1:00 a.m. and that there was about 1 inch of water on the floor. He immediately went to shut down the main water supply line and attempted to get the standing water out. We moisture mapped and set up equipment. Affected areas and materials:
Laundry: Drywall walls, drywall ceiling, baseboards, shelves, crown molding, tile floor, door trims and door jambs.
Hallway: Hard wood floor, drywall walls, drywall ceiling, trim baseboards, door trims and crown molding. Hall closet: Hard wood floor and drywall walls. Hall bath: Drywall wall
Entry: Drywall walls, drywall ceiling, crown molding, hard wood floor. Living room: Trim baseboards and hard wood floor. Master closet: Trim baseboards and hard wood floor. Master bedroom: Hard wood floor. Proper equipment was set in order to dry wet materials. Insurance did cover this claim and in this case equipment was set for only one day.
