A fire can be devastating to a home and family but there are some prevention tips to always remember.
- Be prepared: Make sure you have the right number of smoke alarms in your house and test them monthly.
-Teach your children: It is very important that your children know what a smoke alarm sounds like and its purpose.
-Escape plan: Sit down and go over an evacuation plan with all those in the home
-Practice: Have a fire drill twice a year
-STOP, DROP and ROLL: Teach your family how to use this method if their clothes were to be on fire.
-911: Make sure everyone in the house knows how to call 911
