This was a mold remediation in Bakersfield, CA. Mold growth exceeded over 10 sqft., therefore we needed to ask for approvals from insured's insurance company. Once we received approvals from the adjuster to start mold remediation and other materials that were needed to be removed technician's continued with mitigation services.  All areas that were under demolition were perfectly contained so that no other areas in the house would be cross contaminated with any mold spores. Technicians were required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for proper safety protocols. Kitchen granite countertops were successfully saved and microbial growth was removed. Source of loss was a pipe that had a slow leak in the bathroom vanity, which wasn't noticed right away and was the reason for mold growth in this case. Our customer called SERVPRO Of NW Bakersfield to go out for an emergency water loss that turned into a mold job and pack-out. Insured stated, she noticed wet carpet in the guest bedroom and guest bedroom’s closet. The contractor stated that the water was coming in from a crack on roof. Our technicians performed a moisture inspection in affected areas and adjacent rooms. Technicians findings were ceiling and walls in guest bedroom and guest bedroom’s closet showed high levels of moisture, also the carpet and pad were affected, therefore necessary materials had to be removed and Equipment was set up to speed up the drying process. The affected areas were anti-microbial sprayed and cleaned up properly. Homeowner was so happy with our work. She even stated, "I liked that your crew was very professional and well done. Your technicians did a great job at cleaning and after themselves."

SERVPRO OF NW Bakersfield was called out for a water loss due to homeowner that was gone on vacation for over a week and came back to their hallway bathroom flooded affecting master bedroom, master toilet, and master closet area. The hallway bathroom toilet tank water supply line failed. All affected areas had some mold activity growth due to intrusion that was sitting for over 3-5 days which is drying standard time. Technicians set up a dehumidifier and air scrubber for the moment to prevent secondary damage until we received approval for more materials that needed to be removed, as a professional company any materials that need to be removed first have to get approved from your insurance company before we proceed. Homeowner stated they noticed water on the floor, didn't think much of it thinking maybe the kids spilled something. Then they noticed water again, but this time it was coming from dishwasher water supply line affecting kitchen cabinets, linoleum floor, guest bedroom walls, carpet, baseboard and also entry way wall and baseboard, and linoleum floor technician removed 1 lf of baseboard in kitchen, and 2.9 lf of baseboard in entry way. Set up equipment in affected areas to speed up drying process. Also mold was discovered, therefore mold remediation was performed. This photo was an after photo when the mold was removed and professionally cleaned. Homeowner was happy with our emergency service performance and now wants us to do the repairs for them.
